Overview of role
This is a part-time role for a native-level English speaker. The role entails:
- 5 teaching periods per week
- 45 min of support to students/class cover per week
- Time for PPA, corrections, collaborative work and meetings
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Teach IB Psychology and some other IBDP subjects depending on past training and experience
- Model and create an environment which fosters critical thinking
- Organise and manage classroom, which promotes student-centred learning
- Provide meaningful assignments and constructive feedback to students
- Write schemes of work and Year plan to ensure the curriculum is met and aligned with LIL’s standards
- Work as a team
- Incorporate the mission and values of the school into the classroom
- Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, and communication with families
- Participate in parents-teachers meetings and class meetings
What we are looking for at LIL

- QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to create and deliver engaging activities for students with a provision for differentiation

- Good communication and organisation skills

About us
Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill is an independent school in Wembley offering in the Secondary section two tracks: the French curriculum and the English International Program leading to the IB Diploma programme in Y12 and Y13.
The school opened its doors in September 2015 and now welcomes about 800 students from Nursery class to Year 13. Located in the splendid Brent Town Hall, the Lycée offers state-of-the-art facilities and learning tools.
